Facebook: Broken on Purpose
Recently, Facebook has been putting the squeeze on what you see in your news feed. Fewer and fewer posts from your friends and pages you have “liked” are getting through to you — and fewer of your posts are getting to them. Instead, more of your news feed is taken up with posts that organizations have paid to promote.
This change was inevitable. After all, Facebook has to make money somehow. I don’t share the outrage that some folks feel when they find that something they’ve been getting for free isn’t as free as it used to be.
But this DOES have a huge impact on the strategy of any organization that’s been depending on Facebook to reach its members or supporters.
